Présentation
“Television Shakespeare”: is this expression still meaningful at a time when
Shakespeare on television is no longer limited to the BBC series, but has turned
into a more and more hybrid concept, notably through the constant evolution of
technologies? Trying to grasp the “infinite variety” of its object, this volume not
only provides the reader with thorough surveys of televisual adaptations of
Shakespeare, but also regularly questions the porous boundaries, which arose in
the twenty-first century, between television and other media, Shakespeare still
going through all kinds of “translations”.
